James Miller has over 20 years of experience in creating 3D animation, video and multimedia programs for the medical device, pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. As Vice President and General Manager of a leading San Francisco Bay area production company, James has developed educational and promotional communications materials for healthcare clients that range from start-ups to multi-national enterprises. Projects include producing and directing high quality video and DVD programming for patients and healthcare professionals; developing 3D animation, multimedia communications materials, and rich media content for a variety of interactive technology platforms; producing and directing U.S. and international satellite and fiber optic broadcasts of live medical procedures.
Dan Roth, Partner—Strategic Marketing
Dan Roth has spent almost 20 years as a marketing and sales professional, primarily in medical device and diagnostics companies. With an undergrad in Biology/Chemistry, and an MBA in Marketing, Dan has focused his career in the healthcare market. Over the past thirteen years he has held executive marketing roles, running several global marketing organizations and directing product development through commercialization for such companies as Tyco Healthcare (now Covidien), Dade Behring (now Siemens), GHX and Thermage. Dan has been responsible for over 100 successful product launches. Dans career started in sales. He has managed national sales organizations selling high-value capital equipment and consumable diagnostic reagents within the medical diagnostic market place for several companies that eventually became Dade Behring.
Todd Sims, Partner
In 25+ years serving a range of medical technology, healthcare, biotech and manufacturing industries—both in executive marketing roles and as outside strategic consultant—Todd has proven expertise in marketing strategy development, tactical marketing communication execution and purposeful customer relationship management. His reputation for developing an effective, differentiated company brand voice and value proposition is at the heart of Standing Stone Partners. Todd has led corporate marketing operations at companies such as GE Marquette Medical Systems, Neoforma and Lumenis. He has also led marketing consultancies within leading independent marketing agencies providing marketing communications and brand management services to market leaders.
Donna Hill Howes RN MS, Partner
Donna Hill Howes, RN, MS has over 25 years of experience in executive leadership positions, most recently as Senior Vice President, Content for Sharecare. Donna also served as Deputy Director for Global Health Campaigns for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Prior to the Gates Foundation, Donna served as President of StayWell Productions, a division of MediMedia USA, where she was responsible for the development of strategic business alliances with major global corporations and associations in the healthcare sector. For many years, Donna served as the Executive Producer of The FREDDIE Awards - The International Health & Medical Media Awards - the "Oscars in Health & Medicine". The FREDDIE Awards is now celebrating its 35th year.
In clinical practice, Donna held leadership positions at the National Institutes of Health, the National Cancer Institute and The Institute of Child Health & Human Development before taking the top nursing position at the National Eye Institute. Donna is currently a member of the Board of Directors of The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and The American Diabetes Association.
